EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

SENIOR PROJECT GEOLOGISTS

THE COMPANY

Deep Yellow Limited (DYL) is a pure uranium exploration company with Australian operations in Queensland, the Northern Territory and South Australia in addition to its Namibian operations.

The Company has $65 million in cash and liquid assets and has developed a Strategic Plan with anticipated expenditure for exploration in Australia and Namibia totalling A$12 - $15 million per annum over the next four years.

THE ROLE

The Company is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Geoscientists for the regional based positions of Senior Project Geologist (2 positions) and Project Geologist (3 positions).

The senior positions reporting to the Exploration Manager or the Principal Geologist depending on assignment will suit persons with 5 to 10 years experience with proven strong organisational and technical skills necessary to oversee all exploration activities and who are seeking the diversity of a role which offers the opportunity to be involved in supervision and hands-on regional and project fieldwork. The Project Geologist positions require proven project management skills developed through 5 years of hands-on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the position/assignment an individual would be required to be involved in:

  • The planning and implementation of project work programmes in consultation with Senior Management

  • The day to day supervision of work programmes to ensure that all work is of the highest possible standard and is carried out efficiently and effectively

  • The drilling and logging of RC percussion and diamond core drill holes

  • Regional mapping, geochemical sampling and ground radiometric surveys

  • The collation, interpretation, presentation and reporting of project and prospect activities and results

  • The preparation of monthly production reports and project technical reports

  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date GIS data-sets and applicants should have a working knowledge of Mapinfo, Discover and/or Micromine

  • Resource estimation work

If you have the majority of the above skill sets we have a job for you.

A commitment to Operational Health and Safety programmes and the Environment is also essential.

Previous uranium experience would be seen as an advantage; however, on-going training in uranium exploration techniques is a Company policy for all employees. Opportunities exist to be based in Mt Isa or to work out of DYL's Alice Springs or Perth bases.

DYL will provide a generous remuneration package including Mt Isa or regional 'living allowances' and Incentive options.
